Keep Up With Everything At Apostolic Center.

About Us

Apostolic Center is a vibrant church in Mattoon, a town of 18,000 people, in east central Illinois.
The church’s various ministries facilitate each person, regardless of age, to connect to God, others and purpose. If you have never been to an apostolic church, you are in for a great experience of power, passion and purpose!

Our goal for Apostolic Center is for it to be a place where adults and children alike can come and begin, develop and expand their relationship with God, others and their purpose. We are passionate about helping people nurture their relationship with God, strengthening the connection we have with other believers in our local church and helping people find their ministry and get plugged into serving our community and our world.

What to expect

You will find here at Apostolic Center that we love to worship the one true God! A typically service last around and hour and a half and you won’t be disappointed!

Bring the whole family
Every Sunday morning we provide a fully staffed nursery, and an exciting Sunday School program for children kindergarten to 12th grade, all so that you can enjoy the service! We also provide college and careers classes and a young married couple’s class.

We’re here for you
If there is anything we can do to make your visit more enjoyable, let one of our greeters or ushers know! We want it to be great experience!

What We Believe

We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.

We believe in the great commission and are endeavoring to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with love, mercy and compassion.

We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4 ). He is the creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).

We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin.  Through baptism we identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Romans 6:3-6; Colossians 2:11-14; Acts 2:38.

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. Acts 2:4
